The Southern Africa Huawei ICT Competition is committed to fostering digital skills and bridging the gap between industry and education. The annual contest is designed for students and teachers and offers an international platform for competition and exchange, enabling participants to strengthen their ICT knowledge, improve practical skills and foster innovation using the latest technologies and platforms. The A.I Innovation Competition focuses on evaluating skills in comprehensive application and innovations using A.I
Important: Participants must use Huawei A.I-related technologies (MindSpore, CANN, ModelArts) to design solutions that address specific challenges in industries like Health, Agriculture, Finance, Education etc. We encourage participants to combine multiple technologies such as Big Data, Cloud, Harmony OS, IoT, VR/AR etc.

Gaudencia Omondi, a 3rd-year student at Kisii University, emerged as the second winner of #Migosi2Mzansi knowledge exchange challenge at #GusiiInnovationWeek.
An active member of GDG Kisii and Fie_Lab Innovation Hub, Gaudencia is a passionate developer and coder, currently working on Kilimo Pulse, an innovative solution for agriculture.
Her achievement comes with an incredible reward—a fully funded 5 day trip to Cape Town and Johannesburg for a knowledge exchange program, where she will further develop her career and expand her network.
This trip will be financed by Lolwe AI & Robotics Studio, reinforcing its commitment to empowering young innovators and driving Africa’s tech future.
